Self Guide App Partner Agreement
Version 2 · 4 November 2026
1. Who this agreement is between
This agreement is between Antratel Pty Ltd (ABN 24 122 328 492 — check it on the Australian Business Register), an Australian company trading since 2006, Sydney, New South Wales, the company that runs Self Guide App at selfguideapp.com (“we”, “us”), and the business or professional we approve as a partner (“you”).
You accept it by ticking the box when you apply on selfguideapp.com/partners. It starts when we approve your application. If you accept it for a business, you confirm that you are authorised to do so. A copy stays on your partner account page; each version is dated, and we will email you a copy of the version you accepted if you ask.
2. What we provide
Self Guide App is an online service: the guides and podcasts can be used wherever there is internet, including before the trip and abroad. We do not run tours. We provide the service:
- the Self Guide App GPS audio guides on the website and in the apps, and the access passes your guests buy;
- your personal link, QR code and partner code, a free 30-day demo link so you can try the guides yourself, and your partner account page;
- materials you may share (pages and videos);
- the tracking of sales made through your link, QR code or code, shown on your account page;
- the payment of your commission as set out below;
- payment, delivery of access, support and refunds for your guests;
- support for you by email at [email protected].
We run the programme with reasonable care and skill. We set the prices of the passes and decide which guides we offer, and we may change them; the current prices are always on selfguideapp.com.
3. What you do
You recommend our GPS audio guides to your guests, with your personal link, QR code or partner code. The partnership is for tour companies, guides, drivers, hotels, travel agents and other professionals who recommend the guides to their guests — not for buying passes for yourself. You also:
- give us true and complete details when you apply, and email us when they change — especially your email address and payment details. We pay to the details you give us;
- keep your account page link private, because anyone who has it can see your account, and tell us at once if you think someone else has it;
- use the demo link to try the guides yourself, and do not pass it on or sell it;
- promote the guides as set out in “How you promote the guides”, and make sure your staff who share your link or code do the same;
- pay your own costs of being a partner (for example printing, advertising, phone and internet), hold any licence or registration your own business needs, and follow the laws of the places where you work;
- send guests who need help, a new link or a refund to us, without promising them anything on our behalf.
4. Joining
We check every application, usually within one business day, and may decline one without giving a reason. When we approve you, we email your link, code and QR code, a free 30-day demo link to all our guides, and the link to your partner account page.
The partnership is not exclusive: you may recommend other products, and we work with other partners.
5. Your commission
You earn 30% of what we receive for every access pass bought on our website through your link, QR code or code. What we receive is what your guest pays, GST included, less the card fee Square charges on the payment, which is currently 2.2%. For example, on a payment of A$100.00 Square keeps A$2.20, we receive A$97.80 and you earn A$29.34.
You may give your guests 10%, 15% or 20% off, out of your 30%. Your guest then pays that much less than the full price, and you earn the rest of your 30%, counted on the full price less Square’s fee: 20%, 15% or 10% of it. You can change the discount on your account page at any time; a change applies to purchases made after it.
If a guest uses one of our own promotional codes instead, that code’s discount applies in place of yours, and you earn 30% of what the guest pays, less Square’s fee.
Square is the payment intermediary that takes your guests’ payments. The card fee is set by Square and we do not control it. If Square changes it, the change applies to your commission automatically, on purchases made from the day the new fee applies; the notice in “Changes to this agreement” does not apply to it. The current fee is shown on selfguideapp.com/partners.
The commission on each sale is fixed when the sale is made. We do not promise any level of sales or commission.
6. When a sale counts
- The guest buys on selfguideapp.com after opening your link or QR code — the link is remembered on that phone, in the same browser, for 30 days — or types your code in the coupon field when paying.
- The sale is made while your partnership is active.
- Purchases made inside the Android app through Google Play cannot be tracked and do not count.
- A pass that is cancelled or refunded earns nothing. If it is refunded after we have paid you commission on it, that commission is taken off the commission you earn next.
- Purchases by you for yourself, or made only to earn commission, do not count.
The visits shown on your account page are for your information; commission is earned on sales.
7. Payment
We pay your commission once a month, when A$50 or more is owed to you; a smaller amount carries over to the next month. We pay in Australian dollars to your PayPal account, or — for businesses in Australia — by bank transfer against your invoice for the amount shown on your account page. Your account page shows your visits, sales, commission and payouts, with a statement you can download.
Any fee or currency conversion that PayPal or your bank charges you on receiving a payment is yours. To pay less in fees, you can ask us by email to pay you only once A$100 or more is owed. If a payment fails because your payment details are wrong or out of date, we keep the amount for you and pay it once you give us the right details. If we pay you too little by mistake, we add the difference to the next payment; if we pay you too much, we take it off your next payments or ask you to return it.
8. Taxes and GST
Each of us is responsible for its own taxes. We cannot give you tax advice.
- The 30% is counted on what we receive, as set out in “Your commission”; that amount includes GST.
- If you are registered for GST in Australia, the commission we pay you includes any GST you charge on it; an invoice you send us should be a tax invoice.
- If you carry on a business in Australia, please give us your ABN. If the law requires us to withhold tax from a payment because we do not have your ABN, we will.
- If you are outside Australia, we pay your commission in full, as shown on your account page, without any deduction; you deal with any tax and other legal requirements that apply where you are.
9. Checking your statement
Your account page and statement show our records of your sales, commission and payouts, and are the basis on which we pay you. Please check them each month.
If you think something is wrong or missing, email [email protected] within 30 days after the end of the month concerned, saying what you think is wrong and sending any evidence you have (for example the date a guest bought a pass). We will look into it, reply by email and correct any error, in your favour or ours, in the next payment. After 30 days that month is treated as settled, but we will still correct a clear error of ours if you show it to us.
10. Your guests
Your guests buy from Antratel Pty Ltd under our Terms and Conditions. We take the payment, deliver the access link and look after support and refunds, which we decide under those terms and the Australian Consumer Law. We never show you your guests’ names or email addresses.
You do not sell or resell passes, or take payment for them, yourself. If you would like to, write to us first.
11. How you promote the guides
- Describe the guides, the prices and our relationship honestly, and check the current prices on selfguideapp.com before you quote them. Do not present yourself as Self Guide App or as our employee or agent.
- Do not promise anything we do not offer — for example, that the guides work without internet, or a refund or discount we do not give.
- Where people would expect to know, make it clear that you are a Self Guide App partner and earn commission — for example in social media posts, blogs and online reviews. Do not review the guides as if you were an ordinary customer.
- Send messages that promote the guides only to people who have agreed to receive them (for example your own guests), show who they are from, and let people unsubscribe. No spam.
- Follow Australian law, including the Spam Act 2003, the Australian Consumer Law and the Privacy Act 1988, and the laws of the places where you work. You are responsible for the personal information you hold about your own guests.
12. Our name, logo and materials
Self Guide App, our logo, the guides (audio, texts, maps, photos and videos), the website and the apps belong to us or to those who license them to us, and we have the right to let you use our materials as set out here.
While you are a partner, we give you a free, non-exclusive permission, which you cannot transfer, to use our name, logo, screenshots, pages and videos, and to make your own photos, screen recordings and short videos of the guides, only to promote the guides. Do not change our materials in a misleading way, do not publish whole audio stories or recordings of whole tours, and do not register domain names, business names or social media accounts that use “Self Guide App” or could be mistaken for ours. If we reasonably think a particular use is misleading or harms our name, we may ask you by email to stop it, and you will.
The permission ends when the partnership ends. You then remove our name, logo and materials from your website and social media pages within 30 days; printed cards and brochures already handed out can stay where they are.
13. Your details and privacy
We keep the details you give us (business name, contact person, city, phone, email, website and payment details such as your PayPal email, ABN and bank account) and the records of visits and sales through your link. We use them only to run the partnership, to contact you about it and to pay you, and share them only with those who help us do that (such as our hosting provider, PayPal and our bank) or where the law requires. We handle them under the Privacy Act 1988 and our Privacy Policy; you can ask to see or correct them at [email protected]. When the partnership ends, we keep them only as long as we need them for our records and as tax and accounting law requires.
14. Changes to this agreement
We may change this agreement or the programme, including the commission, the guest discounts, the minimum payment or how sales are tracked. We will email you at least 30 days before a change takes effect, say what is changing, and publish the new version here with its date.
- A change applies only to purchases made from the day it takes effect. Commission already earned is not affected.
- A change that only benefits you, or that the law requires, may take effect sooner.
- A change in Square’s card fee applies automatically, as set out in “Your commission”.
- If you do not agree with a change, you can end the partnership before it takes effect, and we pay what you have earned, as set out in “Ending the partnership”. If you stay a partner after that day, the new version applies.
The prices of the passes and the guides on offer can change at any time, as set out in “What we provide”.
15. Ending the partnership
There is no cost and no minimum period. Either of us can end the partnership at any time by email; it ends on the day the email is sent, unless the email gives a later date.
If you break this agreement seriously or repeatedly — for example by spam, misleading claims, false details, misuse of our name or purchases made only to earn commission — we may end the partnership at once, and we do not pay commission on the sales affected by the breach. While we look into a suspected breach, we may hold the commission on the sales concerned for as long as we reasonably need. We will tell you by email what the problem is and consider anything you send us in reply. Commission on your other sales is paid as usual.
When the partnership ends, for any reason:
- sales made after the end do not earn commission, and your link, code and QR code no longer earn for you;
- we pay all the commission you earned before the end, even if it is less than A$50, with the next monthly payment, less the commission on any of those passes refunded before then;
- you stop using our name, logo and materials, as set out in “Our name, logo and materials”.
16. Service availability and events beyond our control
We work to keep the guides, the website, the apps and your account page available and to protect our systems, but we do not promise that they will always run without interruption or errors. We may take them offline for maintenance and updates, and may change or remove features.
Neither of us is responsible for a failure or delay caused by an event beyond our reasonable control, including:
- no internet or mobile coverage, or a failure of a network, the power supply, or a hosting, cloud or content delivery provider;
- attacks on our servers or systems, such as hacking, denial-of-service attacks, malware or ransomware;
- failures or changes of third-party platforms and services we rely on, such as Google Play, the App Store, YouTube, Square, PayPal and banks;
- fire, flood, bushfire, storm, earthquake and other natural disasters, epidemics and pandemics;
- action by a government or authority (including new laws, orders and closures), war, terrorism and civil unrest.
During such an event, the obligations it affects are suspended for as long as it lasts, and we take reasonable steps to limit its effect and restore the service. Commission already earned is not affected: a payment delayed by the event is made as soon as we reasonably can after it. Sales recorded through your link before, during and after the event count as usual; a sale we could not record because of the event is counted if we can confirm it from our payment records.
17. Liability
- Nothing in this agreement excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or any other law, that cannot be excluded.
- Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, income or opportunities — but we always owe you the commission you have earned.
- Our total liability to you for anything connected with this agreement is limited to the commission owed to you plus the commission we paid you in the 12 months before the claim arose.
- If someone else makes a claim against one of us because the other broke this agreement — for example because of your spam or misleading claims, or because our materials, used as this agreement allows, infringe someone’s rights — the one who broke it covers the other’s reasonable losses and costs of that claim, to the extent it caused them.
- The limits in this section do not apply to fraud or deliberate wrongdoing, or to claims by others covered in the point above.
18. Disputes
If we disagree about anything under this agreement, the one who raises it emails the other first, and both of us try in good faith to sort it out within 30 days. If that does not work, either of us may ask for mediation (for example through the NSW Small Business Commissioner) or go to court. Either of us may still ask a court for urgent orders at any time.
19. General
- You and we are independent businesses. This agreement does not make either of us the other’s employee, agent or partner in law, and you cannot make promises or contracts for us.
- This agreement is the whole agreement about the partner programme. If our website, emails or other materials say something different, this agreement applies.
- Notices are given by email: ours to the email address on your partner account, yours to [email protected]. An email counts as received on the day it is sent, unless the sender gets a message that it was not delivered.
- You may not transfer this agreement to someone else without our agreement by email. We may transfer it to a business that takes over Self Guide App; we will tell you by email, and you may then end the partnership.
- If any part of this agreement is invalid, unenforceable or unfair, it is limited or removed only as far as needed, and the rest continues.
- If either of us does not use a right straight away, it can still use it later.
- The parts of this agreement about commission already earned, refunds, payment, liability, privacy and disputes continue after the partnership ends.
- This agreement is in English and is governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia. Each of us accepts that the courts of New South Wales, and the federal courts sitting there, can decide any dispute about it.
